Prasadam: SWEET PONGAL 


       

Ingredients:                   1. Love for Govinda

                                     2. Rice

                                     3. Sugar

                                     4. Cashew nuts

                                     5. Cardamoms

                                     6. Dried grapes

                                 7. Ghee

                                 8. Milk 

Quantities (For 15 persons):     

    

                                     ½ kg of rice

                                     ½ litre of milk

                                     ½ kg of sugar

                                     10 Cashew nuts

                                     5 Cardamoms

                                     10 dried grapes

                                     25 gms of ghee                            

                            

Procedure:             

                          Soak water in the same quantity of water for about ½ hour. Add milk. Cook rice on low   flame. Fry cashew nuts and dried grapes in ghee to reddish brown. Add these along with sugar to rice. Heat on a low flame. Add ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well.
