Daddojanam Prasadam (given by Sreerangasayi, Hyederabad)

Ingredients

  • Love for Govinda
  • Cooked Rice  2 cups
  • Black pepper corns 10
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Turmeric ¼ tspn (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry Leaves
  • Green Chilies
  • Ginger Piece (1 inch in length) 2 pieces
  • Cashew Nuts
  • Black Mustard Seeds
  • Split Black Gram
 

Method: 

  1. Finely chop the green chilies and ginger and keep aside.
  2. Gently but thoroughly, mix and keep aside the following: cooked rice, milk, yoghurt and salt.
  3. In a small skillet, heat oil on low heat and add mustard and split black gram. Then add pepper corns and cashew nuts. When cashew nuts turn light brown in color, then add ginger pieces, chopped green chili and curry leaf. Next add turmeric and remove from heat.
  4. Add mixture to the pan and cover. This can be eaten immediately or it can be served cold.
