With the mangalsasansmas of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji JET Melbourne chapter conducted the following events in a grand way.

On November 2nd, 2008 on the eve of Deepavali and HH Tirunakshtram, Lakshmi Narayana pooja was performed. Many devotees participated in the pooja. The highlight of the event was pallaki seva where in Lord Venkateswara along with his consorts were taken in a beautifully decorated palanquin amidst devotees chanting bhajans. On November 12th Blood Donation drive was conducted. Nearly 20 people turned around for the event held at Redcross, Southbank office located in CBD. Few of the devotees have done the donation in other Redcross offices. Every one were surprised on hearing the facts told by the Redcross doctors. In Australia the demand to supply ratio for blood is very less and the current blood stocks are dangerously low. All the doctors thanked JET Australia for its generous gesture. As part of community service JET Australian volunteers will be volunteer in VISION AUSTRALIA to wrap gift items for Christmas to the old aged and disabled people.
