World A:cha:rya Day Celebrated on 14th November 2007 at JET ILLINOIS

With divine blessings of His Holiness Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji The Prajna Study Group of Chicago met on Wednesday 14th of Nov 2007 and celebrated World Acharya Day. As part of the celebrations Sri Narasimhacharya Samudrala Swamiji started classes in Tiruvaaradhana for everyone.

The group is meeting every Wednesday in a devotees home for couple of hours.

7:00 PM - 7:30 PM Sanskrit Learning
7:30 PM - 7:45 PM Praanayama techniques as described in Aagama
7:45 PM - 8:15 PM Tiruvaaradhana - The Art of worship & Saranagathi
8:15 PM - 8:45 PM Upanishads
8:45 PM Mahaa Prasaad

Several key members including Karunakar, Kesavan, Srini, Gita, Roshini, Harini, Raghav, Ravi, Amuktha, Prasanna, Suneetha, Sangeetha  and Raghu Mudumbai enjoyed the celebrations. The celebrations were concluded by Acharya Asttotharam and a beautiful bhajan by Gita.

Narasimhacharya Swami explained the importance of aaradhana and how to do internal aaradhana and external aaradhana. It was folowed by description of praanayama and the exact procedure of doing it. Praanayaama techniques that you see around in the workd including pathanjali yoga, kriya/raja yoga etc were all taken from Aagama only.

The Prajna Study group teachers met at Neil's place and conducted classes for kids. Kids are learning I:sa:va:sya Upanishad, Telugu, Stories from Puranas and Sanskrit, . The classes are being conducted by Raghu & Sangeetha Mudumbai. The Pranja team conducts classes to all kids and youth and adults who are interested.
