Chinna Jeeyar Swami's programs in Dallas on 29th October 2007: Reported by: Sri Ba:la:ji, Dallas, US.Theertha goshti: After Divyaprabhanda go:shti Swa:miji graced bha:gavathas with Theertham. After that swa:miji told to bha:gavathas regarding the temple administartion process in India. In the Earlier days, temple used to be in the control of Archaka group who is conducting the pooja & events in the temple. And these Archakas also used to be in a lineage who are well versed in vedas and temple administration. Sometime back the Government introduced an Administartion department to manage temples in which there are more number of employees than the Archakas in the temples. After that, government has taken away all the properties & lands of the temples and sold out. If one post gets vacant in the team of Archakas by getting older or like leaving the place then those vacancies are never filled up. Administration department says to Archakas to take care of poojas (without providing sufficient funds) and they themselves will be counting the money boxes. Administartion department works with political recommendations and influences without any real devotion to the temple deity. And also in archakas department, no lineage followed and they bring any person and appoint as Archaka. Now these wrong practices have become routine. This type of system is followed even in big places like Tirupati. Because thirupathi is a role model for other temples, corrupt practises are ruining even other temples. If somebody protests against such practises in some temple then they are finding excuse in thirupathi. If we can make things better in Tirupati then all the other temples will be corrected automatically. Swa:miji advised us all to become pro-active to protest such malpractises and correct our temple system. At 7:30PM , Swa:miji has conducted Prajna Class for adults. Jai Sri:ma:n na:ra:yana!! |
