The following is the announcement made by Srimaan trust regarding the launch of its 2008 version of Divyadesa yatra.

SRIMAAN BHATTARKUZHAM'S DIVYADESA YATRAI

23-02-08 AND 24-02-08

Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham after a long interval is arranging a tour to our KALIYAN's Holy Land – Thirunangoor divyadesam.

As soon as the children heard about the tour, they became excited and are eagerly waiting for the trip.

Along with thirunangoor duvyadesams we'll also be visiting various other divyadesams that are on the way. In all we'll be covering about 30 divyadesams. The 30 divyadesams are allotted to 30 children. Each child will be explaining about the sthala puranam, sthala vruksham, theertham, vimanam ,names of the deities, Azhwar's mangalasaasanam and Acharya kainkaryangal of the respective divyadesams.

We'll also be arranging various programmes on the way and also at the divyadesams. A tambola game with the divyasesam names will be organized. This game will help the younger ones learn the names well.

Children will also involve themselves in small kainkaryangal like sannidhi cleaning, drawing rangoli,Acharya vandanam, Vidwat vandanam,Acharya tirumaligai cleaning, Sanidi vandanam etc.

Nearly 75 members will be traveling including parents and volunteers. A big bus is arranged. We request you all to go thro the programme schedule that is attached with this mail.

This is a highly subsidized trip. We are collecting a very meager amount from the children but even that is not affordable by many. A few were literally in tears yesterday saying:

"We have just heard the names of these divyadesams but have never visited but felt very happy when we heard that SBK is organizing a tour. Unfortunately our parents cannot afford and we cannot join"

Hearing this, we told them not to worry thinking of you all –OUR STRONG AND SUPPORTIVE DONORS , hoping that you will extend your help in making these kids gain the divine blessings of the various divyadesam's emperumangal.

Our expenses including transport, food and stay will come to about 20,000 rs.

We kindly request you all to extend your help in making this trip a successful one.
