PEYAAZHWAR THIRUNAKSHATRAM(22- 10- 2007 )

Peyaazhwar’s thirunakshatram is ipasi sadhayam . This aazhwar’s birth place is Thirumayilai  (Mylapore- chennai).  The thirunakshatram was celebrated in all divyadesams. Esp. in avatharastalam (birth place) a ten day utsavam was conducted in a grand way with procession of aazhwar in the streets of Mylapore everyday with divyaprabhandha goshti.

On the day of thirunakshatram aazhwar graced the avathara mandapam near kutchery road  in the evening by 3 PM and had thirumanjanam. Mudaliyandan swami (singaperumal koil) and emperumanar jeeyar of azhwar thirunagari participated the utsavam. Velukudi sri Krishnan swami prformed upanyasam.

After returning to temple  by 7PM ,Azhwar had Thirunedunthandakam goshti and sathumurai, followed by a procession with Ramanuja noorthandhadhi . Followed by thiruvaimozhi goshti. The thirunakshatra sathumurai was done in early morning.
