(11) Swa:mi Thiruppana:zhwa:r--This great a:zhwa:r was born in a divine place called “Urayu:r” in a paddy field on the banks of River Cauvery. He is also not born from a womb. He was born in the 163rd year of Kaliyuga i.e. Durmathi year, Ka:rthika month, Sukla Pu:rnima, Wednesday in the Rohini sthar. He was raised by a ma:la(outcaste) person. According tho his varna a:cha:rams, he used tho live on the other side of the river and always sing the divine qualities of Lord Sri: Rangana:tha by playing a veena. He was graced by Lord Rangana:tha and was carried to the Lord’s temple by Sri: Lo:kasa:ranga muni on his shoulders according to the Lord’s order. The a:zhwa:r was mesmerized by the beauty of Lord Sri: Rangana:tha and while enjoying the divine experience, he graced the great prabandham called “Amalana:dipira:n” and got united with the Lord.
