(6) Swa:mi Madhurakavi A:zhwa:r--He was born in a divine place called “Tirukkolu:r”, on the banks of Ta:mraparni river in the Pandya region, in the 863800th year of Dwa:para yuga i.e. Vikrama year, Chaithra month, Sukla Dasami, Friday and Chiththa nakshathram. He surrendered to Sri: Badari Na:ra:yana Peruma:l and came to “Tirukkurugoor” after seeing a divine glow in the southern direction. There He surrendered to Sri: Namma:zhwa:r and graced the prabandham “Kanninun Siruththa:mbu” which is a eulogy of Swa:mi Namma:zhwa:r.
